2 Tigers academy players started and another two were on the bench as England U-19s defeated their Irish equivalents by a solitary point today at Donneybrook. Harlequins' Jordan Burns and Gloucester's Ross Moriarty provided a try each whilst a penalty from Northampton's Sam Olver gave England a 13-0 lead at half time, after the break the Irish side responded to go into the final two minutes 15-13 up before Olver gave England the bragging rights by slotting a goal and securing the win.
Javiah Pohe and Harry Thacker both part of last seasons European Champion Under 18s started the match whilst Tom Hudson and George Tresidder, both Under 18s on school year but 1994 birthdays so Under 19s for internationals, came off the bench.
